Pixote is a yellow-naped amazon parrot that is initially shy; but gradually warms up to new people. A neighbor has been caring for Pixote in his owner`s home while the owner was in the hospital. Pixote lives in the same home as a Lutino Indian Ringneck, so he is used to being around another bird. Last night, after 10 days of being cared for by the neighbor, Pixote sang, whistled, and said his name and "hello" as the neighbor cleaned his cage. He walked up her arm and onto her shoulder sweetly. Pixote is looking for a new home because his dad passed away.
