Hello! I'm a 5 year old male grass parrot - also known as a red rumped parakeet (you can see why!) I love to eat Zupreem natural pellets - but my favorite treats are sesame seeds! I like to whistle and chatter all throughout the day, and once I get to know you, I will bob my head up and down and place a little regurgitated gift on your finger - it's only because I like you :)
I once got into a battle with a mouse trying to eat the food on the bottom of my cage (he crawled up a cord) and unfortunately he won. I lost a bit of my wings that day, but my owners took good care of me and brought me to the hospital to stay for a couple of weeks. Now I am good as new - well, I can't quite fly like I used it, but I get around on short flights (and especially love to ride on your shoulder - my favorite spot).
I am very silly and friendly, but if I'm clicking loudly, that means I want my space and I might give you a bite - never too hard, but enough to let you know I'm in a mood. Once I warm up to someone I love scritches on my head and lots of whistling duets. Maybe you and I could make beautiful music together!
