San Francisco Animal Care & Control contacted Mickaboo for help with a red-crowned amazon parrot. The bird recently joined the San Francisco wild flock conures. A citizen who feeds the wild flock noticed that although this new bird was a good flyer, he/she was also very friendly (not wild) and would perch on his shoulder and arm. The citizen captured the bird and brought him/her to animal control. No one claimed the bird, so Mickaboo took him in to find him a good home. Are you interested in adopting him/her? Update after one week in foster care: She’s doing great. Flying everywhere, making us laugh. She has an issue with food though. She hates to eat her food. Every time we’re eating food she will come and try to eat it, so, we’re very careful.
