I`m being adopted! But I`m sure there are other cockatiels for you to take home. Good luck in your search!

Hello there! My name is Rooster. Life hasn`t always been easy for me, but I`m ready to start a new chapter.

I ended up with Mickaboo because my previous loving owner got quite ill and couldn`t take care of me anymore. It was a tough situation, and I needed help fast. A kind Mickaboo volunteer came to rescue me, but her car broke down while driving me home. I was already a bit panicky, and this didn`t help. We ended up stranded on the side of the road for four hours, during which time we got to know each other a little. You could say I got a little head-start on my socialization from this.

Despite the bumpy start, I promise you, I`m a sweetheart. I`m a friendly, older gentleman who loves to step up onto your hand, visit with you, and proudly declare that I`m a "pretty bird."

I`m looking for a family that will cherish me and give me a safe, loving home. Are you the one who will give me my happily ever after? I can`t wait to meet you!
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
