Rhymes With Orange from September 17, 2008 is a clever play on the famous "Bond. James Bond" line from the 007 movies.
A classic Mother Goose and Grimm strip from 20 years ago today, which literally speaks for itself.
Speed Bump from five years ago today ... Kids and doting grandparents: They're the same even with feathers.
Mutts from September 17, 2014.
Strange Brew from September 13, 2015. Who knew? LOL
Calvin and Hobbes from November 2, 1995. (I know the date in the corner of the first panel says October 28; that is the date of its reprint in 2015. I also know this falls outside my usual matching of strip date to the current one; my original source for this strip's date turned out to be wrong. Oh, well.) Sometimes Calvin almost gets profound.
Ziggy from September 5 last year (although a lot of Ziggy panels are now reruns, so this may have originally appeared on another date in the past).
A rarity today ... I don't believe I have ever seen a Sherman's Lagoon strip with anything even remotely close to a bird reference, other than this one from today in 2013. Yes, I know there aren't any actual birds in it, but it's still funny. Or at least I think it is:
Speed Bump from two years ago today. Given that original date, does that mean the bird was doing a Hank Williams Jr. impersonation?
