You can hear our gorgeous singing voices here!

Inka (female) and Momo (male) were dropped off at the shelter. They are Yellow-naped Amazons. Inka is about 20 years-old and Momo is about 15 years-old.

Inka was hatched in Hawaii and was given to the family by a friend who went to work for the US government and didn`t want to put her through the travel restrictions of going from country to country every 2-3 years. She greets you with Aloha! She says dodo for goodnight.

Momo was purchased in San Mateo when he was only 6 months old as a companion for Inka. He was all green and eventually developed his yellow nape. He was taught a song "I am a green bird, but I am turning yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow. I am turning yellow!" He sings it in a very soulful tune.

Both are very talkative, and love to sing and communicate. They eat beans, rice, lentils, raw celery, raw corn, cooked yams, potatoes, etc. They would probably like chop, but they aren`t used to eating pellets.
