I`m Nubs! I was found outdoors in Santa Rosa after having been attacked by something big and scary! I was taken to a wild bird shelter, transferred to Mickaboo, and driven to one of Mickaboo`s preferred avian veterinarians. I`ve lost a few toes and was very hungry, but I`m in the best of hands now.

I`m still stabilizing and being evaluated at the veterinary hospital. I`m a bit thin, but am eating a lot. I look fairly young and my plumage looks great, I`m a bit scared of people, but they think I`ll be fine once I`ve had a chance to settle in and get comfortable. I have a gorgeous crest and a nice chirp.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
