My tale unfurls in the crisp autumn of 2024, amidst the golden haze of October -- a lutino peach-faced lovebird, vibrant and delicate. Discovered in the outdoors, the jaws of a cat tightening around my neck, fate seemed cruelly poised. But as if scripted by a benevolent hand, a good Samaritan intervened, rescuing me from the brink and rushing me to the warmth of an emergency vet in San Jose. The call to Mickaboo followed swiftly.
Despite the cat`s bite, my wounds were shallow -- a testament to my brush with destiny -- but I was laid up for a while (sickness now, the hours dread . . . ) Under the meticulous care of one of Mickaboo`s preferred avian vets, antibiotics and pain relief became my companions, transforming peril into recovery. This once fragile bird now stood on the cusp of a new chapter, my health restored, my spirit unbroken.
Mickaboo estimates my youth, perhaps no older than two years. My feathers, a radiant yellow, akin to rays of pure sunshine, flutter with newfound vigor. My energy mirrors the chaotic elegance of Brownian motion, yet I find tranquility in the presence of humans, perching quietly, observing with keen, inquisitive eyes. Sociable by nature, though still apprehensive of touch, my gentle twittering fills the air -- not loud, but endearingly talkative.
I long for a home brimming with companionship and daily engagement, a place adorned with toys and enrichment. A home where fellow lovebirds might share my space, though in separate cages, would suit me well. To embrace my charm and learn more, Mickaboo`s lovebird coordinator holds the key to my story.
