Hi! In February, 2022, Mickaboo rescued 177 finches from an aviary. It was poorly maintained, with severe overcrowding, no hygiene, poor diet and not a fun place to be a finch! The person who owned the aviary had some health changes and was going into hospital. Mickaboo only had one afternoon to come and get all of us out. It was a pretty big job but they did it.

You can watch a video about that rescue here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cZpWRA3FwM

Since Mickaboo came to rescue us all we`ve been enjoying fresh romaine and herbs, a nice mix of pellets with our seed, and lots of fresh water to bathe in, instead of water bottles. Over time we`ve all moved into smaller groups to be in foster homes in nice flight cages where we can still buzz around but we are safe and getting a much cleaner place to live!

I got my name Ralph in 2024 after one of the plastic bands that the owner had put on me constricted my left leg and it hurt so bad that I couldn`t stand on that leg. Mickaboo got me to the vet and they sedated me to remove it and now I`m recovering.
