Hi, my name is Tippi. I was found injured and alone, and was fortunate to be taken in to the vet hospital. From there, I became a Mickaboo bird, and my life has been looking up ever since. I have lots of energy. My fabulous foster parent called me a real character. I`d love to bring my love and energy into your home!

June 2025 update!
I am a splay-legged female budgie who requires certain cage modifications, but am a happy budgie who is enjoying life. Splay-legged means my legs don't support my body, but stick out to the sides of my belly. I am bonded to Dragon, who is also splay-legged.

Since I can't perch, the bottom of my cage is lined with a layer of bubble wrap, covered with a couple of layers of flannel so I can't chew on the plastic. It is nice and soft, so I sit comfortably on my belly. I can climb the horizontal bars on the sides of the cage, and sit on a platform part way up. I love pushing toys off the platform. It is even more fun if the toy makes a noise when it falls! I also spend a lot of time chatting with my friend Dragon.

I am on a terrific diet of Nutri-an Cake and fresh, chopped, organic greens and herbs. I love spearmint, parsley, basil, and cilantro.

Despite my leg issues, I am a cheerful little bird and I would love to brighten your home, especially if my friend Dragon can come with me!
In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
