Baby Thang doesn`t come out of her cage much, and she doesn`t fly very well. Her favorite treat is millet, and she loves to chew on balsam toys. She has a sweet, squeaky chirp. She likes baths, and she tolerates spritzing. She is very bonded to her best friend, Bertee, and they get very upset if they can`t see each other or are far apart. If that happens, they can get loud. Their foster mom says this about them: They are sweet birds and I believe with a loving and stable foster home will thrive and bond with their foster parent.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
