Bertee likes to fly. He`s somewhat social and answers if you call his name. He likes being out of his cage as much as possible. His favorite treat is millet. He loves balsam chew toys, and he loves to be sprayed for a bath He is very bonded to his best friend, Baby, and they get very upset if they can`t see each other or are far apart. If that happens, they can get loud. Their foster mom says this about them: They are sweet birds and I believe with a loving and stable foster home will thrive and bond with their foster parent.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
