Hi I`m Rico, a lovely and lively one-year old cockatiel with a story to share. Unfortunately, I was surrendered because of issues with my owner`s dog and to add to the challenges, I was separated from my companion. My foster mum is very nice to me and I`m adjusting well to my new environment but I really feel lonely.

While I`m still working on liking pellets and veggies, what I really crave is companionship. I`m on the lookout for a loving home where I can build new connection with a feathered friend. Could you be the one to offer me the warmth and companionship I`m longing for?

In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
