Hi, I`m Maggie!

I`ve been with Mickaboo for a long time. I spent years being fostered in several different foster homes along with another cockatiel, Shamus. We came to Mickaboo in 2012 when our previous caretaker became too ill to keep us. (This happens a LOT with pets, so make sure you have plans for yours!). Our vet thinks that we might be around 15-20 years old. In 2023 I went into a chronic egg laying cycle for the second time, and for my own long term health, we decided it was time to find me some female company and get my hormones sorted out. Shamus wasn`t very good for me!

As of Sept 2023 I`m now living with Scoville and so far we are getting along pretty well. I eat a little bit of pellet and also some seeds. I will eat green leaves sometimes but they are not my favorite. I do chew on wooden toys now and then. My most favorite thing though isn`t a toy.. it`s SHOWERS! You can empty a whole spray bottle on me and I will still want more!! I just love spray bottle misting showers! Every day! Showers are the best!

Scoville and I are getting along pretty well and we`d make a cute pair of Lutino cockatiels for some nice Mickaboo adopters - can we come and live with you?
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
