Hi there! I`m Clover, and my friend is Aster. We used to be part of a big group of cockatiels, but now it`s just the two of us left.

We`re a bit standoffish about humans and prefer to stick to other birds. When we first came in, we were afraid of humans, but now we`ve settled down a bit and don`t mind a human being near us, so long as they don`t try to touch us. While we`re friends, we`re not bonded to one another, and could easily be friends with other birds.

Aster is a bit more brave, but I prefer to hang back. My foster mom thinks I would do best with a whole flock of other cockatiels, rather than as part of a pair.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
