Hi, I`m Sara, a young pearled cockatiel who came to Mickaboo from a shelter. They`re not sure if I`m female yet because male cockatiels can show pearling until their first molt, which I may not have gone through yet.

I`m friendly with people and a bit playful.

April 2023: I`m currently staying at the vet for some heavy breathing and some unusual weight gain, so check back when my health improves!

In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
