I`m Luna, a 17-year-old Senegal Parrot who`s on a great diet and very acrobatic. Like many of us African birds, I like hanging upside down and watching the world from that angle. Also, I can say "hello" and "Pretty birdie."

There was a time in my life when I was cage-bound and received very little attention. This left me scared about coming out and being around people. Now, I`m very well socialized, though I can be standoffish at first. Once I know you, I`m anxious to visit and play with you. I`m usually quiet and gentle, though I can call out loudly when I want attention. I like climbing, playing hide-and-seek, watching TV or watching out the window, and sharing healthy food.

Mickaboo thinks I`ll be a great companion bird for the right person or family -- someone who will continue to work with me on basic husbandry training (step-up/down, stationing) and will be patient while introducing me to toys and otherwise expanding my comfort zone. I need the right mix of work and play to help me feel most comfortable as a bird in a human world.
