Hello - Emerson here. I`m a native of Palo Alto! A nice animal control officer found me injured in July 2021 and asked Mickaboo if they`d help me recover from my injuries. They dropped me off at Wildwood Vet in Redwood City and the staff there called me the `weird cherry head` affectionately. I had smacked into something and smashed up my face and my wing. I have a weird bone near my beak that just pops out to the side - and my wing is always going to be droopy but at least it has healed a little bit.
I`m in a foster home now where there are other wild conures. I`m sharing a cage with Finley and we like each other but I am overpreening Finley a bit so I don`t know if I`ve found my BFF yet.. but at least I have some bird company! I am eating Harrisons coarse pellets and I love almonds. Mmm, almonds. Hey does anyone have an almond around here?
