I`m Mack, a Meyer`s Parrot of some distinction, or so I`ve been told. My story begins in obscurity, alone in an otherwise abandoned house, a circumstance that would make any creature contemplate the absurdity of existence. But, with mercy bestowed upon me by the whims of fate, I was found and brought to Mickaboo and safety. I was adopted once, but life is a circle, and I find myself back at Mickaboo. So it goes. I am now in the midsummer of my life, as they might say, at the ripe age of 16 years.

I am a gentle soul, not given to grand gestures or loud squawks. I`m easy to handle once I get to know you. I`m a bit shy around new faces, but give me time, and I will open up. I enjoy the company and the quiet companionship of a trusted friend. But I also value my solitude, my space. I am not one for constant chatter, preferring the quiet hum of life around me. But when spoken to, I respond with my own language of clicks, whistles, and kisses. My foster dad, who`s also serving as my amanuensis in transcribing my story for Mickaboo, works with me every day to expand my vocabulary.

I`m a connoisseur of simple pleasures. Carrots, sprouted grains, and pellets are my fare of choice. And my favorite part of my cage? That would be the top, next to the window. There, I can watch the world go by, a silent observer perched high above the ground.

I`m a healthy bird overall but was once diagnosed with a heart murmur, for which I take a daily supplement, which is administered to me atop a Nutriberry. My chest lacks some contour feathers from a previous plucking habit, but I`m not actively plucking them.

So, I need a new forever home, which is why you find me here. I`m easygoing and not picky, but I want to go somewhere safe and respectful. Your home might be the right place for me, so I hope you`ll consider this and let Mickaboo`s Poicephalus Coordinator know. Thanks!
