Hi, I`m Jane. I came to Mickaboo via the Santa Cruz Shelter in November 2021. The wonderful Mickaboo family that picked me up named me James but after I got checked at the vet, they changed it to Jane.

I like spending my with my cage mate, Lucy. Our foster mom usually finds us sitting at the same mirror or next to each other in the morning. Lucy makes sure I`m well groomed. She makes sure my pin feathers are well taken care of. It would be awesome if we could find our forever home together.

I`m good at eating my pellets and love my Nutri-An cakes. Parsley, cilantro, and fennel make great, yummy toys! Aand of course, I love millet too. If you have millet, I`ll step onto your hand and stay there feasting on my favorite treat! I also like to listen to music especially if it has drums. I`m really enjoying 60`s rock right now!

Could you maybe find a place for me to rock out in YOUR forever home? Or, better yet, for me AND Lucy to keep you company! Thanks for considering me/us!

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
