Bird Toon of the Day - March 9, 2023
Dogs Of C-Kennel: Now that is a forced moult.
Dogs Of C-Kennel: Now that is a forced moult.
Rhymes With Orange: Pre-cell phones, there were birds.
The Other Coast: Which means that's not an iced coffee.
I have recently discovered a daily one-panel toon, Cornered, by Mike Baldwin and am going through the "pets and animals" section in search of avian-related entries. In the meantime, enjoy this one which trades on an old cliché:
Show Me The Funny: Back on February 19, we featured the first of what we hope will be many avian-related cartoons from Leo Cullum's long run in The New Yorker. These, along with other toons from that magazine and Esquire, are presented by Bob Mankoff, who was the cartoon editor at the former for twenty years (1997 to 2017) and then for the latter for two years.
Mankoff is also a cartoonist himself.
The Far Side: But how did they get Domino's to deliver all the way out in the desert?
Half Full: Yes, but does a smartphone help in catching the worm too?
Peanuts: And the score ... Woodstock the typically smart bird 1, Lucy the know-it-all 0.
Frank & Ernest: Uh ... yeah.
Loose Parts: So much for taking instructions literally.
