Rhymes With Orange from April 16, 2008 features a parrot which has apparently tired of seeing his pirate's ear wax buildup.

A little Calvin and Hobbes today. Since virtually all the strips in my archive are from the reruns at GoComics and are often retagged with the repeat date, I use an online database to find out the original publication date (I do the same thing with Peanuts, for the same reason). This strip originally appeared on February 16, 1987:

This Bizarro, from way back on May 7, 1998, has been identified by Dan Piraro as one of his personal all-time favorites. I like it as well, and hope you will too.
Note: Dan redid this panel, in color, on January 31, 2017. I'm including it here.
The last of my 1950s archived Peanuts strips (July 4, 1954) again pits Snoopy against the bird, with predictable results.
The bird tests Snoopy's stamina in this Peanuts Sunday 'toon from October 4, 1953:
As with so many early Peanuts strips, this one was originally uploaded to the blog in black-and-white, then replaced when the color version became available in January 2018.
Snoopy has the tables turned on him by a wild bird in this early Peanuts strip from September 1, 1953.
(This strip was originally uploaded in black and white, but a colorized version became available in late 2017 and I replaced it here.)
