We promised to update you throughout the day on where we stood with regard to today's donation matching activities. Here is our final report on today's activities.
An anonymous budgie-loving supporter is providing $750 to incent GlobalGiving donations, with the hope that Mickaboo will regain its "most donors" first place position in today's GlobalGiving fundraising event. Our generous donors have used $390 of the $750 - so there's more matching funds to be had!

Thanks to the support of many many generous people - over 60 of you - we have raised almost $15K toward our $20K fundraising goal. All of our birds are deeply appreciative that so many people care about them!
Thanks to the support of many many generous people - over 50 of you, in fact! - we have raised almost $12K toward our $20K fundraising goal. Birds like Lucy, the Patagonian Conure pictured at right, benefit from your assistance.
Part four of the six-part Mutts story is missing from my archives, but we continue with part five from March 22, 2013.
Because of your continued support, Mickaboo has been able to continue our work of rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing companion birds. We have accepted 75 and adopted out 87 birds so far this year, while caring for a flock of 450 birds, from the smallest finch to the largest amazon.
Part three of a week's worth of Mutts, from March 20, 2013. I know this entry makes it obvious that this was a "birds returning in the spring" story arc, but since birds sing like it's springtime all-year round, I'm doing it now anyway.
