Rhymes With Orange from August 20, 2015. I count it as a bird 'toon because the bird got half the dialogue in the panel plus the title comment. (Bonus points if you get the reference in the latter.)
I've never been certain where this cartoon originated, but it's one of my favorites from an intellectual perspective ... not to mention the pun.

Stupid the Bird proves he isn't even safe when he walks instead of flies in this Diamond Lil strip from 2014. I find it interesting that he looks like the typical "Pokémon Go" player of today, distracted by his phone screen.
