[Mickaboo Action] Sick budgie needs rescuing

There is a budgie in Danville that needs a foster home immediately. He was rescued from someone that was going to throw him away because he has (what we think are) face mites. We need a volunteer to foster this little guy, and a volunteer to transport him to his foster home from either Danville or from the surrenderer's job in Pleasanton. ...well, they will be lucky as soon as we find a foster home for them! There are two owner-surrendered budgies at the Silicon Valley Humane Society shelter that need to be rescued. Anyone that has room and is ready for the delights of a pair of budgies -- could you let me know? We need to make these little ones lucky as quickly as possible. [Mickaboo Action] HELP!!! NEED your feedback!!!

Does any one have any experience with JAW TETANUS? Please help. Below is a part of the email I received. "My cockatiel developed a jaw tetanus which the vet had heard of but had never seen, caused by bacterial toxins which inflame the jaws. The internet said euthanize but the vet tried a different antibiotic and tube feedings, physical therapy etc. She has been at the vets a week and the vet thinks a week more, but I don't think I can see spending that much money, the bill is already almost $1000. So I will bring her home tomorrow and just hope that she can eat enough to keep alive. I have never had so much trouble with birds before. Hello All, We just got word that there is a cockatiel at the Petaluma shelter who will be euthanized if he is not picked by Saturday!!! Is there anyone who can foster this little one,EVEN IF ONLY TEMPORARILY, so we can spare his life??? Please contact me off list if you can help! There are two solutions to this.. 1) Is there anyone who would be able to help in the transportation of these 2 amazons from Placerville/Sacramento area to Daly City (which is just at the southern border of San Francisco). I am willing to drive to any point on the peninsula to meet you to pick these birds up. 2) Is there anyone who would be able to house these two amazons short-term till Tom gets better and is able to transport them to me next week?
