Hello! Here are the projects that I'm currently working on for MickaCoo (in descending order of priority). If you see something you would like to help with, please let me know! 1. Soliciting items for MickaCoo's portion of the Mickaboo Holiday Partyhttp://confluence.mickaboo.org/display/MBPublic/Mickaboo+Holiday+Party+2010Silent Auction (12/4 in Pleasanton- please RSVP!) 2. Recruiting and developing adopters! 3. Finalizing Ingrid's "How to Help a Found Pigeon" article to have as a resource on the website and my blog 4. Reviewing and editing the Mickaboo Bird Care Class outline's new content on pigeons and doves (and the differences with softbills) 5. Writing a "Doves as Pets and How to Care for Them" article to have as a resource on the website and my blog 6. Writing a "How to Create an Outside Aviary for Pigeons or Doves" article to have as a resource on the website and my blog 7. Writing a "Pigeons In Pants: How to Have Pigeons as Wonderful Indoor Pets" article to have as a resource on the website & blog 8. Revising the Foster/Adoption Application to be more pigeon/dove relevant (will then be turned over to Tech Team to be put ONLINE!) 9. Creating a MickaCoo version of the Foster Agreement (Cheryl A is taking a first pass at this) 10. Revising the Foster/Adoption Application to be more pigeon/dove relevant 11.Outreaching to wineries to create aviaries for rescued pigeons or doves 12. Refreshing the front page of www.MickaCoo.org http://www.mickacoo.org/with new pictures (and links to the new articles mentioned above) Of course- fundraising is always needed too. Great job on the article, Louisa! One suggestion -- *if* pigeon pants can
be used for doves, maybe doves can be added to the article. There is no
mention on the pigeon wear website that they fit doves also, although since
they are individually made I would assume so. As someone who knows VERY
little about pigeons and doves, thought adding the dove thing might be a
good idea too.

I recently had some pants made for Dovee and he was thought to be a dove. They
can make pants for Doves, but there is no guarantee they can be taken outside
with a leash safely, but certainly safe for indoors:)
I am off to read the article once I get my coffee!
