Mickaboo is collecting feathers. My aspiration is to put them out on
ebay (thanks to another volunteer's suggestion). Folks should feel free
to send some or all of their flock's generous feathery shedding to Tania
and her equally generous family.

Hello All!
My family adopted 2 doves, Neela and Sandpiper a month ago. We are so
happy to have them as part of our family. They are doing beautifully!
My 10 year old daughter Aria and 14 year old son Austin have a fund
raising plan for Mickacoo and Mickaboo. They would like to have you send them your bird's feathers. From the feathers we will make decorative hair clips, dangles, picture frames etc. They will sell these items (at the Santa Clara County Youth Fair for example) and give much of the proceeds back to Mickacoo and Mickaboo. We will treat the feathers with Pyrethrins for health reasons. We will do our best to use natural, sustainable and environmentally friendly materials.
Please send feathers from your bird's general molting and from flight
feather clippings (where appropriate). We will also use bits of down. If you have peacock feathers collecting dust, or know of a source willing to donate some to us that would be wonderful. Send feathers to:
