OT: An Effort to Bring Back Extinct Passenger Pigeons

Any breeder contributing to this work will be fully recognized as a member of our team. The following are requested: 1) blood sample - from a female 2) paperwork history of the bird being sampled 3) multiple photograp**hs of the bird, at least one with a ruler as reference to size 4) if the bird already has a name, great, if not, we need to give it one for press purposes. Very cool! And an awesome project. Working from home, I spend a lot of time on my computer with birds around and I have seen similar responses. Indoor Home Needed for Very Tame Pigeon

This sweet, tame pigeon flew into a Palo Alto Retirement Home looking for help. He's very thin and was likely raised as a pet and then 'set free' without the skills to be self-sufficient.
