Something else to take to the meeting with SFACC

Hi all; The request for specific OTRS dumps of a certain time period in a "large file folder" format may be tricky for me today, so just to make sure you have something good to bring to the meeting (in case I fail): http://mickaboo.org/our-birds/print/2010surrenders.html [1] That link prints an "adoption book" style document. The name, photo and story for every bird surrendered so far in 2010 (210 so far). It should print one per page. (Works in Firefox) Links: ------ [1] http://mickaboo.org/our-birds/print/2010surrenders.html

Um, Max the macaw has a surrender agreement in the picture frame. We might want to fix that ASAP. Agreed; they're not supposed to be marked as web images ;)

Pam, Please bear in mind (and you probably already know this) that the list that Matt refers to below does not generally include non-intakes – that is, birds that someone tried to surrender to us but which we were unable to take. Most of the cockatiel “aviary” surrenders or five or more birds like those mentioned by Martha yesterday are not intakes because we simply don’t have the bandwidth. I have seen probably a dozen such requests of between five and maybe 70 (yes, really) cockatiels in the past year. Most of them are for about 10 birds. I think that we want people to know about these because, among other things, they show that we are at overload. --VH From: media-advisors-bounces@mickaboo.org [mailto:media-advisors-bounces@mickaboo.org] On Behalf Of AMuse Sent: Saturday, August 07, 2010 10:11 AM To: media-advisors@mickaboo.org Subject: [Media-advisors] Something else to take to the meeting with SFACC Hi all; The request for specific OTRS dumps of a certain time period in a "large file folder" format may be tricky for me today, so just to make sure you have something good to bring to the meeting (in case I fail): http://mickaboo.org/our-birds/print/2010surrenders.html That link prints an "adoption book" style document. Maybe we should start a "Could not intake" queue in OTRS... or a field in ASM? We could enter any attempted intakes into ASM and then mark ones we couldn't accommodate? On Aug 7, 2010, at 10:49 AM, "Vincent J. Hrovat" <1217@vhrovat.org> wrote:

I was thinking once about a non-intake status in ASM, but nobody else had time to think about it. I’m not sure how many people were aware of all of these big-batch surrender requests. --VH From: media-advisors-bounces@mickaboo.org [mailto:media-advisors-bounces@mickaboo.org] On Behalf Of AMuse Sent: Saturday, August 07, 2010 10:56 AM To: Mickaboo media advisor team Cc: Mickaboo media advisor team Subject: Re: [Media-advisors] Something else to take to the meeting with SFACC Maybe we should start a "Could not intake" queue in OTRS... or a field in ASM? FWIW, I also think that ASM would need a corresponding count field somewhere, since some of these requests are for such a large number of birds. I know, I am asking for space shuttles . . . . --VH From: media-advisors-bounces@mickaboo.org [mailto:media-advisors-bounces@mickaboo.org] On Behalf Of Vincent J. Actually the new ASM already has a count field that almost no one has seen, since no one wants to be a beta tester :P On Aug 7, 2010, at 11:09 AM, "Vincent J. Hrovat" <1217@vhrovat.org> wrote:
