The pctg of our revenue which goes to paying vet bills has varied tremendously - from a low of 86% in fiscal year 2007 to a high of 108% for calendar year 2010. It's hard to get to all of the places where we cite our % and keep them consistent! If one wants a statement which will generally hold up, not for a specific time period, I'd say "approximately 90%". Hope that helps. - Pam ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This message w/attachments (message) is intended solely for the use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain information that is privileged, confidential or proprietary. I think approximately 90% is a legitimate statement. And for the rest of this year (2011), we can follow that up with "(...and they exceeded 100% last year." On Mon, Feb 14, 2011 at 8:47 AM, Lee, Pamela A < pamela.a.lee@bankofamerica.com> wrote:

Percentage of revenue and percentage of overall expenses are two different
things and I think that both are important. For us to say that vet bills
exceeded revenues is notable, but it doesn't give people a comparison of how
efficient our organization is with money otherwise. On that basis, I would
present the 90% figure as a percentage of expenses and also mention that
veterinary expenses exceeded revenues. I hope that makes sense.

"It seems that there are more and more examples where individuals or groups of individuals are trying to limit our heritage and our culture," Yee,
flanked by supportive restaurateurs and chefs, told reporters before evoking memories of racism against Chinese-Americans.
"For over 5,000 years, it has been the practice of both the Chinese community and the Asian-American community to consume these particular
animals," Yee said in his testimony. "They are part of our staple. They are part of our culture. They are part of our heritage."
Yee's stand on the shark fin and live animal markets seems centered very firmly on his Asian heritage, and in particular, in preserving ancient Chinese traditions irrespective of how cruel and primitive those traditions might be. So it's hard to say how he would vote on a pet sale bill, although this obviously does not bode well. I don't think that Yee would be a very strong mayor and, hopefully, someone who is more open-minded and forward thinking will step up. --VH From: media-advisors-bounces@mickaboo.org [mailto:media-advisors-bounces@mickaboo.org] On Behalf Of Mary Long Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2011 1:05 PM To: Mickaboo media advisor team Subject: [Media-advisors] Leland Yee Uh, oh....saw similiar fights years ago...(that, obviously, lost).
