[Mickaboo Techlist] Wiki / Groupware

Well, since no one likes the groupware (or is willing to learn it) I have come to the conclusion that it's probably not the right tool for the job of organizing all our non-ASM data. So, there's a new tool I am demoing. It's a very expensive piece of software that I may be getting donated to us, called "Confluence" and is essentially a professional wiki. I've moved the wiki content from the groupware into a demo copy of it, and would like to solicit a few volunteers to try putting in some data. If you're up for being a tester, please email me off list and I'll set you up with an account.

I liked it and used it - just not regularly! I just need to get in the habit of using it is all ... ~ Ailsa

I liked it and used it too! But I'm happy to switch to the new one and
start entering data there.

There were one or two users, but that's a pretty small minority. I'm hoping the Confluence system will be easier and get more use as a result. Ailsa wrote:

I am actually practically done with a document on how to use GroupWare, but I have to say that I've been a bit stuck on the File Manager part. I am trying to finish that up. If anyone wants to see my doc so far, I can email a PDF. I have found some of the GUI not intuitive and maybe a little buggy in the way you return to previous pages. In any case, I don't think it's a particularly great tool, partly because you guys seem to mostly want a calendar type program to share event information and a good file program. I would be happy to test your new system or finish the doc I'm writing (or both). AMuse wrote:

Chloe: Sorry to go ditching the groupware while you've been busy documenting it! I am very enthusiastic still about phpgroupware as a great tool, but it seems more geared toward techies and the Mickaboo folks don't seem to like it as much. :) If you could test the wiki with me, that would be great! I will send you an account ASAP. Chloe Redon wrote:
