[Mickaboo Techlist] New addition to Mickaboo Tech team
Hi all! Please welcome Barna Mink to the tech team list! Barna is working with Elizabeth Young on putting together MickaCoo's website, procedures, etc. Since MickaCoo is a "Branded branch" of Mickaboo, they'll have a different website section with pigeon and dove specific information, procedures, etc - but are going to use the same tools MickaBoo uses (ASM, OTRS, Confluence, etc). So, Barna is here to help us develop Mickaboo's inrastructure as a whole, and help make sure MickaCoo integrates smoothly into it. Barna, can you give the team a bit of background on yourself so we all know your talents?
Thanks for the welcome!! I look forward to contributing. I'm originally hailing from Hungary. I have been programming since I was 12. I relocated to Silicon Valley after graduating, in 2000. These days I am working for Gracenote (now part of Sony) which deals in digital media recognition. I'm working on the software that runs on our big server farms that handle hundreds of millions of transactions a day, but I'm also involved with a lot of other technical stuff. The coding is mainly C under Solaris, but there's always other stuff going on as well on the side (Perl, PHP, shell scripts, web stuff)... I have been involved in various animal related causes for many years. I have been vegan for 10. I have a website about vegan pizza baking at http://www.ethicalpizza.com .
