Hi all! It's possible that I won't have time to put together an official -mickaboo- laptop prior to the party. It's also possible that the merchant account won't be ready by then. I'm going to do my absolute best to make sure both of those get done, but just in case, lets have a plan B. In case all of our technical stuff isn't ready in time.... I'll bring a padlocked box with a slot in the top, and a bunch of paper forms on which people can write their credit card number, amount they're charging to it, what they bought and sign it. They can then slip the paper in the slot and be assured (in writing, which I'll prepare) that only I or Heather will be permitted to open the box back up, read their slip of paper, make the charge after-the-fact, and then securely store (and later shred) the piece of paper. Does this backup process work for everyone? If so, we can be 100% sure we'll be able to process credit cards. Otherwise it's a roll of the dice whether the merchant account will be fully set up in time.
