Hi Nancy,
The attached document looks like a scan adoption agreement (yay!).. If when you open this (or other documents) and it saves to your "desktop" that means literally that it saved it to the windows desktop. If you close all the windows (minimize them with the _ button on all windows) or hit the little desktop icon you may have near the start button (assuming you are using XP, Win98, or Win2000) that closes all the windows..
On your screen you see a bunch of icons, and one of them is the new icon that you just saved.. If you can find the icon with the name of the download you just saved, double clicking it will open up the file into MS picture viewer and you can print it from there..
What mail client are you using ? Outlook Express or gmail ? It appears that you may have your client set to automatically download files to your desktop without asking you.. In which case I can try to help if I know whether you use gmail, etc....
Steve

When I open the document it saves to desk top, whatever that is. I can't cut&paste or move to ASM or save to my C Drive. I don't think there is any hurry on this but I'd like to know how to do it. I have the same problem with attached pictures. Thanks. Claudia Melteff

Thanks also for the recipes. I am always looking for new bird recipes.

You can also make birdie bread with pellets. Use a box of Jiffy corn mix, add eggs and shells, some soaked pellets and/or (add Zupreem Avian Entrees Spicy pellets into the mix), organic unsweetened applesauce, mashed banana, orange juice, other veggies, nuts, a bit of cinnamon, etc. I spend a lot of time and $$ at Trader Joe's buying raw nuts, dried/unsulphured fruit, etc and dump them into the rice mix or bread mix I use. I'm including a couple recipes that I have found work well with big birds. I noticed that Selena is missing a little less than 1/2 of her (index?) toe on her right foot…this appears to be an old injury. It looks like her beak has a crack that healed or was fixed….I'm not familiar with Green Wings, but in all the pictures I have in books none have such a crack crack. I'll try to get a close up picture over the next few days after she becomes more comfortable.
Dr. Speer hopes that next Thursday when he removes the bandages she'll have enough scar and other tissue grown to not require further bandaging, this will allow her to move around and use her wing somewhat. Selena having range of motion will hopefully prevent her Ulna and radius from fusing together which is a risk if she remains bandaged too long.
Oh I love your pellet and medicine ideas…very creative. I will try them. I have some late harvest wine grapes growing on several vines, I'll go pick some and try grapes with Selena.
