I'm originally hailing from Hungary. I have been programming since I was 12. I relocated to Silicon Valley after graduating, in 2000. These days I am working for Gracenote (now part of Sony) which deals in digital media recognition. I'm working on the software that runs on our big server farms that handle hundreds of millions of transactions a day, but I'm also involved with a lot of other technical stuff. The coding is mainly C under Solaris, but there's always other stuff going on as well on the side (Perl, PHP, shell scripts, web stuff)...
I have been involved in various animal related causes for many years. I have been vegan for 10. I have a website about vegan pizza baking at http://www.ethicalpizza.com . I live in SF with my wife, a small herd of animals and a small vegetable garden.
