It is heartbreaking, I know. There are two SFACC volunteers (that I know of) that are spending extra time there to try and help with all the birds. There are four pigeons there too. On Thu, Oct 7, 2010 at 8:19 AM, wrote:

if you check there adoptable birds they have 6 tiels they took in from another shelter on the site. Well add to that around 20 more that were just surrendered..

The six original are three to a cage and appear to be untame.

The new ones are in multiple cages and many are tame. However we took in one last night with breathing difficulties and there are plucked ones and probably other health problems.

The one at my home steps up and seems to like people which make this whole thing even sadder to me.
