Note the flyer Katie created! Even with lots of email requests, I had to talk to folks in person to get them voting. We're at #75. We're still climbing but not fast enough. There are LOTS of folks who would vote for us who aren't yet because we haven't personally asked them. Maria suggest to me the other day that we might get more votes if we include information about the text messaging option, instead of the web-voting option, on the pull-off tabs of the flyer. In other words, instead of saying "http://www.refresheverything.com/mickaboobirdrescue" on the pulloff tab, we could say "Text 105245 to 73774 daily until 1/31" It's a little shorter, gives more people an immediate and simpler voting path, doesn't require registration, and it reminds people to vote every day until 01/31. While I think that the original flyer looks great (I especially like seeing Grover o top of it :-)), I also think that we should consider modifying the flyer as described above and distributing some of those as well. Unless Katie wants to make this change and unless someone has a compelling reason why we shouldn't, I will be glad to make it and convert to PDF format for distribution. Thanks. --VH
