Hello- I know I've been posting all kinds of dire and dramatic news (funny how I was panicked when we were overfull with 92 and now we're working on finding forever homes for 353!) but there's actually lots of wonderful news going on as well and so I wanted to quickly share some of that with y'all. Clare & Bob are fostering-to-adopt Dupree Heidi in Santa Cruz is adopting 6 doves (thank you Tina K!) Teri in AZ is adopting 4 kings (thank you Cheryl A!) Marsha will be fostering-to-adopt doves Pierre & Lucia and Magic & Daisy (thank you Martha!) Shae in Fairfax is building a great mini aviary and will be adopting 4 kings Tomoko & Tom will be fostering Joey & Sunny SF/SPCA will be fostering 6 to 8 pigeons (and publicizing and fundraising and humane educating about pij & doves & MickaCoo!) Kim & Johan will be fostering 2 pigeons Susan in NM will be adopting 8 pigeons and today Cathy & Cheryl A are doing a welfare check on the 30 kings rescued in Milpitas and we're getting inquiries about the rescued Iranian High Flyers and there's more too So don't despair. There are LOTS of amazing people who are willing and able to help (and do so with great compassion and integrity). We just have to keep asking and reaching out...
