Hi, Some time ago I purchased 5 lbs. of tobacco stems, because I heard that pigeons love them as a nesting material, and that they repel mites and other bugs from nests. Don't let the 5 lbs. fool you -- this is a TON of stems in a pretty large box. Needless to say, *my* pigeons won't have anything to do with the tobacco stems (or maybe I don't know how to use them right). In any case, my birds do love hay, so I'll stick with that. So I have no use for the stems apart from smelling them -- they smell very pleasantly like cigars. If anyone wants these, let me know. They're free for pick-up. If there are no takers, I will compost them eventually. Cheers, Barna
