This is Ian, MickaCoo's latest rescue. He's a racing pigeon, hatched in 2008 according to his band, that got terribly hurt (most likely by a hawk). Somehow he got to the SJ Animal Control Shelter and their vet stitched up his torn crop (among other injuries) and started him on antibiotics. He was rushed by MickaCoo volunteer Jaclyn from there to FTB where he was deemed stable and sent home the next day for supportive foster care. He's eating and pooping and is expected to recover.
