Mike transported a baby king with a broken leg from SFACC to BABH yesterday. Pij rescuer and MickaCoo volunteer picked her up and brought her to me today (thank you both!) Her broken leg is splinted and the other one is so injured and painful, I had to cradle her on her back in my arm to help her. Finally a little relieved of pain, this poor, exhausted, baby bird went straight to sleep and is now sleeping in a scarf/ sling i made. Her name is Missy. Her vet bill is over $500.
