Re: [MickaCoo] [Mickaboo Discuss] 200 domestic pigeons dumped in Sacramento

This is heartbreaking.

Animal Services is going to euthanize for a parasite (which is highly
suspect, parasites can be treated) but there's nothing MickaCoo could do to
help them. We are waayyy past full as it is.
Poor birds.

I just saw on a local new station that someone had dumped around 200 domestic pigeons in McKinley park. Animal Control is working on the issue and they have the name of the man who did it and are going to prosecute. There are still over 100 of these confused birds in the park.

We have so many foster birds and are stretched so thin for people power to
do what we're doing that I can't even begin to help. And, if there are
folks out there willing to help find homes for pigeons, we've got more than
250 in need of homes!
