Animal Advocates,

Please join LGBT Compassion and other animal advocates for a peaceful demonstration against animal cruelty on Wed. June 15 from 8:30 a.m. to appx. 10:00, and  Sunday, June 20 at 9:00 a.m. to appx. 11:00 a.m. at the Heart of the City Farmers Market in San Francisco on Market St. between Hyde and 7th St. next to the Civic Center BART.

Last Sunday, their sales were extremely slow, and some developments have recently occurred with investigations/enforcement by the City that should make it even more difficult or impossible to continue business for long. Our continued strong presence there is extremely effective at this point, so please consider helping. The City is rewriting the market’s permit this fall, and if there are no active live poultry vendors there, it will be politically that much easier for the Board of Directors to decide to ban live animal sales going forward.

Brochures and signs will be provided. A sample of the brochure (which includes vegan outreach) is available online here www.LGBTcompassion.org/livemarkets/brochure-web.pdf

More information is available at www.LGBTcompassion.org/livemarkets.

Please RSVP, if possible.

Thanks,

Andrew
