WildCare is a FANTASTIC resource for helping immature, injured and/or ill
feral pigeons for rehab and release and we refer many to them. They aren't
able to help domestic birds though (other than to stabilize and transfer
them to Marin Humane Society) when someone brings one in.
Best Friends does have rescued pigeons available for adoption but, like us,
they are always full and haven't been able to take any of ours. We do plan
on doing some sort of joint PR effort together after the holidays, though!
And thank you very much for the referrals, donations, flyer postings and
all of your help! It makes a difference!
We really need a succinct "How to Foster and/or Adopt Pigeons and/or Doves"
flyer... let me know if anybody is interested in drafting one. I'd gladly
help with info!
