Hello- Two doves need a place to stay for a year while their person is stationed abroad. Natalie is willing to make a $300 donation to MickaCoo or to pay that for "boarding" (your choice). If you or someone you know would like to help for the next 12 months, please contact me at AdoptKings@gmail.com *** * Hello, my name is Natalie, and I'm in search of placement for two doves. My work is calling me out of the country until the following May. Ideally, I would like to be reunited with them once I return, if at all possible. Oktur is a male Luzon bleeding heart dove, approximately 3.5 years old. Penny is a (presumedly) female ringneck dove of unknown age. They are both fully flighted. Neither has had any health problems; however, Oktur does require nail and/or beak trimming as needed. The doves have until recently lived in a large flight cage (6'x6'x3'). Oktur is a ground dove, so he spends much of the day walking on the ground. His ideal housing situation would be a cage or aviary with clean, atraumatic bottom substrate for him to walk on. I place food for him on the ground, but he drinks from an elevated water dish. He spends the nights roosted on a perch with Penny. The doves are fed a mixture of seed, fresh berries, and "bugs n berries" food. I also include some shredded carrots, lettuce, cooked grains, and cheese on occasion. Oktur's plumage benefits greatly from daily misting, as he isn't probe to bathing himself like Penny is. His plumage took a turn for the worst during the car ride to California, so he isn't looking his handsomest right now. I would welcome any questions or concerns that anyone might have. Thank you for your time and consideration! Sincerely, Natalie* ***
