Hello,

Ernesto also comes with a fantastic cage, perches, dishes and food.  He’s very affectionate and just adorable.  I even built him a little nest box which he loves.  I carry it from room-to-room with him all cosy inside, because he likes to watch what I’m doing, whatever it is!

Concerning his beak,  Dr Debra Scheenstra is scheduled to make a home visit tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon, and I will have her trim the beak and do an overall checkup.

He’s quite a fabulous bird – he’s already making friends with my rabbits who find him entrancing.  When I spend a little too much time with my buns, according to Ernesto, he flies over and perches on my head to get some attention from me!  He’s very interactive and reads my facial expressions and coos when I blow very lightly on him.  He is confident, loves to explore, loves attention, and adjusts well.  He’s been with me just over a week and he’s already right at home!

Ernesto’s cooing is barely audible in the next unit (I checked).  In fact, it is a rather sweet sound.  I don’t think the HOA is concerned with the cooing; their argument is that I am not in agreement with the bylaws concerning my other critter-companions (4 rabbits) and they insist that Ernesto cannot stay.

I will send pictures of Ernesto and his cage this evening.

Kind regards,

Helen G.

P.S.  I forgot to mention that Ernesto has a bit of a "snagglebeak" but that can be trimmed and easily maintained.  (I can teach you how.)

Hello-

Ernesto is a very sweet, tame white ringneck dove who's person of 10 years recently passed away.  He was taken in by MickaCoo (thank you, Tom!) and quickly adopted and his new person, Helen, LOVES him but her HOA doesn't and has insisted that he puts her out of agreement with their terms.

So Ernesto needs a new home.  He comes with his own cage and is an incredibly charming fellow.  He is single and his cooing for a mate is sometimes loud (though not in the same ballpark as parrot vocalizations).

I'd actually love to see him paired with another dove so that he would have the benefit of a mate (and his loud mate-calling coos would cease).  (And I can help with that.)

So- can you or someone you know help out Ernesto?  His heartbroken adopter Helen will transport.
