Delmas has been fed and is now sleeping in a cage in the front seat of my car as I'm full up in every room on my house right now with birds.  It was a sight I'm sure - Leslie and I in my shed with flashlights feeding this little one.  It wasn't easy as there seems to be a blockage, but I'm no pij expert and we found a way to the mouth thru the side.  He moves around okay, just really young and not ready to eat on his own.

Hats off to the 3 young men in the white Saturn who had stopped to look at the bird and then pulled away when I slowed to see what they were looking at.  When I came home, they were parked in front of my neighbor's house so I showed them that I had picked it up.  I'm now a hero to wayward gang related boys in my hood.  Maybe that's a good thing?  :-)  Great.  More reason for the neighbors to call me Dr. Doolittle (it's something they're trying to start and I'm resisting!)

Now I'm all wired out.  Maybe a little Bachelorette drama will bore me to sleep.

Hi all,

I'm in San Jose and just found  PIJ with no top beak that was standing in the road under where many roost.  He didn't flinch when cars drove by, so I swooped him up in a t-shirt and brought him home.  He's currently on my back patio in a cage with water and mashed apricot, a little cat food, and mashed lefabers cake.

I can't keep him after 6am tomorrow as I'm headed off to run an event for two days.  Can someone take him tonight???  anyone know if the shelter will take him?

Help.  Please call.  650-644-8728 is my cell.  Have left vm and SMS for elizabeth.

Aileen and Amazons - lots of them right now with no quarrantine room!
