Hello- Some of you have perhaps seen the invitations posted to join the protests of the live bird sales at the SF Farmers' Market (and Cheryl D & Kim F are among those who do) and this blog post shared by MickaCoo volunteer and foster Alice (thank you) adds another layer of info to the story. Probably all of you are aware of the efforts that many put forth, led by Tammy & Martha, to help find homes for the many chickens, roosters, chukars and quail that end up at SFACC (and other shelters). This story illustrates where most of those birds come from.
