Subject: [Mickaboo Discuss] Pepsi results

As I type this, it is 11:25 pm ET (35 min to the voting deadline) and Mickaboo continues to ranks #9 (in a competition where the top 20 earn a grant). It is all but certain that our collective efforts will make Mickaboo eligible for the next steps in securing a July Pepsi grant . I wanted to take this opportunity to thank:

All of you (Boo and Coo) who clicked/texted, cajoled family, friends, and colleagues to click/text, found Pepsi power voting codes and exercised them… and helped us run a “kinder, gentler” contest.
Our voting partners (most of whom are also positioned to win their categories)
Walt and Matt for helping publicize the contest via their work on our newsletter and accompanying email broadcast

What happens after this?

Behind the scenes, Mickaboo will need to file a formal Grant Agreement (including filing financial statements, a project budget, letter of reference, etc) to the sponsor’s satisfaction. IE, our grant is not assured until a formal grant agreement has been accepted by Pepsi or its agent. We will know by Aug 23 whether this has occurred.
If the grant agreement has been accepted, Mickaboo should expect the first installment of its grant $ around the beginning of September.

MickaCoo is considering applying for a Pepsi grant in the Sept round. And, based on the positive feedback received so far, Mickaboo will likely go for an October grant. THANKS again for all your support. It is truly appreciated.
