Wow, they are such beautiful birds. I'm guessing that pigeons and parrots don't mix, though. Actually, that's a good question: how do people handle mixed flocks of pigeons and parrots? My assumption is they would have to be kept completely separate. The outdoor band-tailed pigeons are scared to death of my birds (and vice-versa). --john On Jan 6, 2011, at 9:05 PM, Elizabeth Young wrote:
Hello-
A baby feral pigeon was rescued a few months back and, rather than getting rehab and release care, was treated as a pet. Lucky is now tame and unreleasable but his/her rescuers are moving back to Malaysia and can't take Lucky with them. (They are taking their cats and for that I am grateful.)
Lucky will be surrendered to MickaCoo early next week and we need an indoor/pet type-foster home for Lucky to be happiest. Note: Lucky has had cat friends.
Please contact me at AdoptKings@gmail.com if you think you'd like to foster an expressive, friendly, smart, quiet and cute little tame pigeon.
Thanks, e
